Test Stand Awning / Test Pump Relocation
New metal awning and heavy-equipment relocation for an oil-field test pump and controls at J-Mac / Forum Energy.
What We Built
This project constructed a new metal awning for the relocation of a test pump motor and controls for oil-field equipment. The biggest challenge was the sheer size of the equipment involved, the test pump had to be moved by specialized heavy-equipment handlers and cranes. Another obstacle was cutting the opening in the new building before the equipment could be moved; the cuts had to be exact because of the size. Materials included structural steel framing with I-beam, R-panel roofing with metal trim accessories, vapor-proof exterior lighting, a small joist crane, and metal bollards to protect diesel tanks and the structural frame.
